Promotion of environmental services on the development of technology exchange and environmental sust

This project continues to promote the exchange on environmental services and sustainable through collecting and analyzing information, exchange experience and visits, and hosting workshops and discussion in order to promote the understanding of Taiwan and mainland China’s environmental service sector. Those important information included investment information, trends, regulations, and business competition and restrictions. This project had completed 100% with the information collection on environmental service section for Taiwan and mainland China through comparison and analysis of mainland China’s WTO and ECFA promised items and environmental targets and policies of the twelve five year plan. We have updated the service platform added new functions with new article numbered 1010. The sectors of “environmental education” and “resources recycle and waste management” provided more information than others. The e-journal had issued 10 volumes with the 11th under review with subjects covering the definition of environmental service sector, the development trends, the cross traits exchange of environmental technology in 2012, etc. The workshop for the “Current status and analysis of environmental market in China” was held on May 15, 2013. The workshop of “environmental protection services and environmental sustainable symposium” was held in June with more than 100 participants and invitees from mainland China. The workshops of “2013 Cross-Strait Environmental Summit” were held in July by Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences at Kunming, China. This project helped to group our representatives to attend the workshop and to interact with mainland China’s official representatives. The workshop had more than 200 participants. This project suggested that the information and issues of environmental service related to ECFA should be continuously collected and analyzed in order to provide the policies and strategy planning for the Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration to promote environmental service sector entering the mainland China’s market.
